A vigorous plant with a healthy leaf cover that protects the fruit against sunburn. Uniform fruit set makes harvesting easier.
Fruit Characteristics: Harvest maturity is indicated by a rind colour change from light green to off-white, and the absence of visible greening on the ground spot. Large to medium, round fruit of 1.5 – 2.5kg, with uniform fruit size and shape. The skin is off-white in colour with a smooth appearance, and a pale green flesh colour. The fruit have a small seed cavity, with good flavour and brix development.
Variety Characteristics
Adaption: HONEY STAR is recommended for early, mid and late season production in the mild Northern growing areas, and summer production in the Southern growing areas.
